THURSDAY - April 10th @ The Davis Center
We are excited to welcome you to this opportunity for our international community to connect that has been brought to you by @iss_williamscollege and @williamsdaviscenter
We understand that recent news reports may be causing concern, as some international students at other institutions have received notifications from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) regarding visa revocations and SEVIS record terminations.

A visa revocation means that the visa stamp in your passport is no longer valid for reentry to the U.S. A SEVIS record termination means that a student’s immigration status has been deactivated in the federal Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS).

Please be assured that International Student Services (ISS) is closely monitoring this situation and is here to provide the support you need. We are tracking updates to the SEVIS system and will notify you immediately if your record is affected. Should that happen, we will work with you to help determine the necessary next steps. At this time, no Williams College student has had their status terminated.

To avoid potential violations of your status, we encourage you to visit our Maintaining Your F-1 Status guide on our website. Make sure to check the email you used to initially apply for the visa because that is where the notification will most likely be sent. Should you receive any notification about visa revocation or SEVIS termination, please contact ISS as soon as possible. We are here to assist you.

We recognize that this situation is unsettling for many of you. We share these concerns and want you to know that the ISS office is committed to supporting you through these challenging times. We will continue to provide timely guidance about any immigration policy changes that may affect you.

Williams College deeply values its international community and is committed to creating an environment where students from all backgrounds can thrive.

Thank you for your attention to this matter, and please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
